Do Modern-Day Apostles Exist Today?

The apostles received the authoritative teaching from Jesus himself and they handed that down to pastors that they had established in local churches. And while those pastors were called to train up others, they were not establishing new apostles. The apostles were foundational for the church. And that is what the apostle Paul says himself–in Ephesians 2:20 he refers to the apostles as foundational for the church of Jesus Christ.
