Episode 486 Show Notes
From the Show
You are not alone in this battle…all of us have these fleshly desires, these passions inside of us. If you don’t realize that, you can feel like you’re crazy. Am I really a Christian? How can I think or feel these ways? I can’t tell you that those desires, those feelings, will ever go away. But I can tell you what Paul said: “Walk by the Spirit. Abide in Jesus. Receive his love for you.”We give up a lot to follow Jesus faithfully, but what we receive is more than anything we have given up. We receive God himself for us, his love, his goodness–not because of all the things we’ve given up! No. We follow him. We lay down our lives for all he has done for us.

Questions in this Episode
1. Why do we have denominations? Why can’t we just worship as one?
2. Will we be raised bodily like Christ was raised? If so, does this mean we’ll have scars from our past as Jesus had? Will our burial grounds and casket be opened like Jesus’ tomb was, or was Jesus’ bodily resurrection representative of our spiritual resurrection?
3. How do I live out Romans 8:13 in everyday life?
4. I’m 17, and I’ve been having lots of homosexual thoughts lately. I don’t know what to do. I pray about this issue more than nearly any other thing in my life, yet I feel like nothing has changed. I don’t want to be like this for the rest of my life. How do I get rid of this temptation? What will happen to me if I become gay? Could you give some advice or biblical wisdom to help?
