What does the Bible say about Homosexuality?
Now we also have to note that in these lists of practices that Paul gives us here, he mentions not only homosexuals, but adulterers, the greedy, and liars. I don't know about you, but I see sins here that I've committed even as a Christian. So, you know what Paul has in mind, are those who have given themselves over to these practices, but they're living a life of adultery or of greed, swindling, slave trading, and lying. But after his list in 1 Corinthians 6:9, where he mentions homosexuality along with with these other sins, Paul says, “and such were some of you, but you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the spirit of our God.” So although you still commit sins, you confess them to the Lord, you bring them to the Lord, you repent of them, you struggle against them, you don't practice them like a lawyer practices law or like a doctor practices medicine. That's not who you are, you are in Christ- that's your identity. So struggle against it because you were justified in the name of Christ, and by His Spirit. — Michael Horton
