How Precise Must Our Beliefs Be to Have True Faith?

From the Show

How precise do our beliefs have to be for a person to have true faith?

Think of the disciples; three years of walking with Jesus and they still didn't get it until Pentecost. And Jesus still loved them. Jesus still brought them along. They didn't get the cross, they didn't get the resurrection, three times Peter tried to get Jesus to stop talking about his imminent crucifixion. They just didn't get it and then they did at Pentecost. And that's the way it is with us, is our growth in godly character perfect in this life? Of course not. Then why do we imagine that our theology will be perfect in this life either? But sanctification, that is, the process of growth in knowledge and grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, that is a lifelong calling. — Michael Horton
