There is one view that says God chooses us on the basis of the fact that he foreknows who will choose him—he can see down the corridors of time and can see that we are going to choose him. The other view is that the biblical word to “know” is a lot deeper than having information beforehand. In Scripture, to “know” speaks of intimacy.
