How to Care for Someone Battling Anxiety and Depression

by Paul David Tripp posted October 10, 2018

Anxiety and depression, unfortunately, are both widespread issues inside and outside of the church. Figuring out how to walk with people through their pain is difficult and often confusing because not all cases are the same.

Paul Tripp and David Powlison help clear some of the confusion away and discuss what is most important for helping someone with anxiety or depression.

"Paul, in Romans 8, talks about that we live in a world that's groaning, waiting for redemption, and we too groan. You could argue that the default language of every human being is groaning…so maybe what you're saying is that effective ministry to people who struggle with fear and anxiety or on the depressive continuum of human beings, maybe the key to ministering to them is humility." -Paul Tripp
