9 Beautiful Worship Songs to Set on Repeat This Easter

by Andrew Hess posted March 26, 2018

Oh sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth. Sing to the Lord, bless his name; tell of his salvation from day to day. (Psalm 96:1–2)

After instituting the Lord’s Supper, Matthew records that Jesus and the disciples sang a hymn together (26:30). Singing is a wonderful way we express our worship and gratitude to God. The Psalmist calls for all the earth to “sing to the Lord” and “bless his name.”

The Bible has over four hundred references to singing including fifty direct commands to sing. Twice the Apostle Paul commanded us to sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs to one another when we meet (Eph 5:19; Col 3:16).

This Easter, as you pause and think about what Christ accomplished for you, find music that you can sing to God. Sing beautiful expressions of gladness, thanksgiving, and praise.

Here are a few of the songs I’m singing this Easter.
